Rory coolly converted to make the score 10-6.
Shocked by this Ovenden rallied and scored a couple more tries and conversions prior to half time to finish the half 22-6 in front.
The Second half so a much improved performance from the Hawks with Dominic Shaw,Nathan Sharp and David Brown all scoring tries. Ovenden eventually ran out winners by 44-18

Bradford Victoria (4) 8  Hawks (12) 28

The Under 14’s travelled to Victoria Rangers this weekend ,with only 11 team members turning out, we once again had reservations about the outcome.
The team put up a spirited performance and took the lead early in the first half with a try from James Proctor, Wade Cummings converted from a tight angle.
Victoria Rangers responded with a try of their own but failed to convert.
Hawks came close to a second try when Myles Wood got over the try line only to be held up by an opposing player.
The Hawks made their pressure tell with a second try from James Proctor just at the side of the posts, Wade Cummings converted the kick, Hawks lead 12-4 at the break.
The second half continued in the same vain as the first with some terrific tackling from a well organised defence.
Hawks allowed Victoria Rangers back into the game with a try ,but again Victoria failed to capitalise and missed the conversion.

The under 14,s were at home to Victoria Rangers this weekend.
Having previously beaten the Rangers on both occasions this season, the lads went into the game full of confidence.
The Hawks dominated the first part of the game but could not make their dominance counts, and were surprised to find themselves go 6-0 down following a break by Victoria Rangers which was against the run of play.
The Hawks replied and scored two quick tries the first scored by Jamie Heppenstall & the second by Josh Grundy, neither conversion was successful.
Dan West then scored a further try before half time , which Rory Wheatcroft successfully converted to make the score 14-6 at the break.
