SELECTION FOR LOCAL LADS: Three South Yorkshire Rugby League players have made significant steps up the Rugby League Performance pathway / ladder by being selected in the 2007 Yorkshire Regional Under 14’s and 15’s Camps. Corey Hanson from Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks (Under 15’s), Sean Richards from Doncaster Toll Bar (Under 15’s ) and Joe Furness from Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks (Under 14’s) recently made the difficult transition of progressing from their amateur club sides onto the South Yorkshire Service Area side. After playing 5 games for the service area all three players came through the Rugby Football Leagues Performance Department’s rigorous talent identification system and were selected onto the 2007 Yorkshire Regional camp which involves the 40 most elite players from the county at each age group. The selection of these players highlights the hard work and commitment that all players have put into their training and preparation and the outstanding work that is being done by the Doncaster Toll Bar and Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks Amateur Rugby League clubs along with the South Yorkshire service Area.
